Today was our day off. This morning we started off with
camp-grill pancakes, which was different than normal. Some were scrambled, but
delicious anyway. Our propane tank wouldn’t stop leaking, so the day got
delayed, but our good friend Greg
saved the day. We went to Wekiva Springs and took a nice hike and then lunch by
the lake. The boys went swimming, but the water was really cold. Everyone else relaxed and read. We swapped
stories by the lake and got to know each other better. On the way back Sean
surprised us by buying icecream that we were begging for! When we got back we
ate the icecream, chopped some special wood from Greg, and then ventured to see a dead Cottonmouth
Snake. When we came back, Jill and Elena
made delicious couscous with veggies. While Brandon and Sean cleaned, a few of
us played the card game President. Reflection was next and then smores before
bed!
We were all very excited for today because it was our day
off and it met our expectations. We had a good balance of fun, while also
relaxing before the week ahead. A lot of family stories were shared which
helped us all become a little closer. The reflection we did tonight was really
meaningful and everyone took it to heart. We all spoke truly and meant what
they said, no one was judging anyone. Everyone is still excited and in good
spirits, but we must go to bed soon because we have an early day tomorrow.
We’re finally going to see the manatees that we get our #Manateam name from.
