Today we got up early and drove the 5-6 hours to Florida. We
stopped along the way for a fabulous at McDonald’s.
We arrived at the campsite, so happy to be done driving
finally. We immediately made friends with the dogs Smokey and Becca, and then
made friends with the people staying at the camp. It started to rain so we
quickly set up the tents. Some of us set up camp while some went on a very long
journey to the grocery store.
After we set up the tents, we hung out in the nice warm
weather and played football, and Steven fed an apple to a horse.
We basically just hung out and chatted. We then made dinner,
while waiting for the grocery people to come back. They returned after it was
very dark.
A lovely fire was made and we had reflection, which was very
enjoyable.
All in all, it was a great ‘first’ day at the campsite, and
we are excited to see what tomorrow will bring on our first day of service.
